Ashish Puliyel

Ashish Puliyel is an experienced technology leader with a diverse background in engineering and product development. Currently serving as Head Of Engineering at The Guardian since October 2020, Ashish oversees the teams responsible for the award-winning website and applications, along with advertising and personalization initiatives. Previously, as Engineering Manager at cap hpi, leadership involved technology and architectural responsibilities for web-based products, optimizing conversion rates and user satisfaction. Co-founding DocuBuzz Pte Ltd allowed Ashish to lead development of mobile SaaS solutions for education and business. In earlier roles, Ashish worked as a Solutions Architect at GonzoBuzz, providing custom implementations for clients, and consulted for various startups, SMEs, and consultancies. Ashish's academic achievements include a degree from the National University of Singapore and attendance at The British School.
