Karen Slavick is a seasoned Agile Lead and Scrum Master with extensive experience in managing cross-functional teams across various high-profile organizations, including The Guardian, News UK, and Financial Times. Since August 2019, Karen has led 16 teams at The Guardian, overseeing diverse projects throughout their entire lifecycle. Previous roles include senior positions at News UK and the Financial Times, where Karen managed multiple teams and initiatives within digital and internal products. With a solid foundation in project management, and educational expertise holding two master's degrees in Educational Psychology from Harvard, Karen has consistently driven successful project outcomes and implemented agile processes in various sectors, including media and education.
