Matt Brittin

Matt Brittin serves as the Senior Independent Director at The Guardian since February 2025. Previously, Brittin held various leadership roles at Google from September 2011 to June 2025, culminating as the Outgoing President for EMEA, with a focus on leveraging technology for positive impact. Additionally, Brittin has served as a Board Trustee for Media Trust and The Climate Group, and as a Non-Executive Director at Sainsbury's. An alumnus of the University of Cambridge with a Master of Arts in Land Economy and Geography, Brittin also earned an MBA from London Business School.
