Daniel McGloughlin has held various positions in the cybersecurity field since 2011. In 2011, they began their career at Guardsight, Inc. as a Web Security Analyst, where they performed various web site activities using Apache and Mysql, analyzed web logs on Linux, and assisted in vulnerability assessments using Nessus and nmap. In 2012, they moved to UNH InterOperability Lab as a Test Technician, where they certified Home network devices at a DLNA independent certification vendor, created new procedures of testing to current certification standards, and assisted in automation of testing and test results analysis. In 2013, they joined Turbine as a Security Engineer, where they took part in an assortment of projects such as Web database backups and security report analysis, conducted daily and weekly security tasks such as File Integrity checking and network log analysis, and collaborated with other engineers in verifying potential vulnerabilities in the network and on websites using Nessus and Burp Suite. In 2016, they returned to Guardsight, Inc. as the Director of Cybersecurity Operations & Incident Response and a Security Analyst II, where they conducted analysis and monitoring for networks, managed and maintained log collection and analysis technologies, and oversaw vulnerability management programs.
Daniel McGloughlin has obtained a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security and Information Assurance from Western Governors University in 2021. Daniel has also obtained several certifications, including CompTIA Project+ from CompTIA in March 2021, ITIL Foundation Level from AXELOS Global Best Practice in March 2020, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in October 2021, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) from (ISC)² in July 2021, CompTIA A+ from CompTIA in August 2020, CompTIA Network+ from CompTIA in September 2020, and GIAC Certified Incident Handler from GIAC in December 2015.
