Piet Wauters

Piet Wauters has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Piet is currently the VP Engineering at Guardsquare, where they oversee the development of mobile application protection solutions. Prior to this, they worked at ASML as a Group Leader Metrology Expose DUV - Image Quality SW. Piet also held various positions at Punch Powertrain, including Director Project Management Office, Director New Product Development, and Manager Electronics. Piet served as the CTO at both RFEE Atlas and Atlas Fencing. Additionally, they worked as a Program Manager at Syntigo and held program management roles at KBC Bank, KBC Global Services NV, and KBC. Piet began their career at IBM as a Sr. Project Mgr., where they were responsible for the delivery of a framework contract for the European commission.

Piet Wauters pursued their education in a chronological manner. In 1985 they attended KU Leuven where they studied Engineering and obtained their Master of Science (MSc) degree in 1991. Piet then took a break from their formal education until 2009, when they enrolled at the Project Management Institute (PMI) for a short period to complete the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in Project Management.
