Julia Ben Khalifa

Julia Ben Khalifa has been working in various roles since 2018. In 2018, they were a Research Assistant at KIHU - Research Institute for Olympic Sports, where their main tasks included internal communication, research data collecting and processing, and writing research feedback summary. In 2019 and 2020, they were a Part-Time Teacher at the University of Jyväskylä. Julia also worked as a Sales and Customer Service at IKEA in 2020. In 2020, they also worked as a Researcher at Keski-Suomen sairaanhoitopiiri (KSSHP) Central Finland Health Care District, where they studied the effectiveness of Central Finland Central Hospital’s Sports and Exercise Medicine Clinic’s exercise therapy on patients’ body composition or functional capacity and whether they could increase physical activity. Currently, they are working at Gubbe as the Head of People, Health & People Manager, Health & People Specialist, and Health Admin Trainee.

Julia Ben Khalifa began their education in 2012 when they completed their Ylioppilastutkinto at Tampereen yhteiskoulun lukio - Tampere Arts-Oriented Senior Secondary School (TYK). In 2016, they completed Basic Studies in Health Sciences, 27 ETCs at the University of Jyväskylä. Julia also obtained a Certified Instructor BODYBALANCE® certification from Les Mills International in May 2016. Julia then continued their studies at the University of Jyväskylä, earning a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Sports and Exercise Medicine in 2020. In June 2017, they obtained a Certified Instructor BODYPUMP® certification from Les Mills International. In October 2020, they obtained a Koronavirustartuntojen jäljitys certification from the University of Eastern Finland. In 2021, they earned a Master of Health Sciences in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the University of Jyväskylä and a Rethinking health - Vaikuttavuusperusteisen terveydenhuollon perusteet certification from the University of Helsinki.
