Hanspeter Abegg

Hanspeter Abegg has a diverse work experience. Hanspeter started their career as a Commercial Apprentice at Kork AG in 1992 and worked there until 1995. Hanspeter then worked as an IT Programmer at UBS from 1995 to 1997. Abegg joined PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 2000 and held various roles including Senior Associate, Manager, and Senior Manager until 2010. In 2011, they joined H. Henseler AG, a subsidiary of the Schindler Group, where they served as an Area Controller and later as a Manager of Finance. In 2013, Abegg took a sabbatical before joining Besi Netherlands B.V. in 2017 as the VP of Global IT Infrastructure and Applications. Hanspeter also worked for Besi Switzerland AG as the Finance Director and later as the VP of Finance and Support Functions. Abegg is currently working as the CFO/VP of Corporate Services at Gubelin Group since 2019.

Hanspeter Abegg began their education journey in 1993 when they attended Kaufmännische Berufsschule in Wohlen, where they obtained a degree as a Commercial Clerk. Following this, from 1995 to 1996, they attended UBS, focusing on application programming. In 1997, they enrolled at Fachhochschule, Luzern and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a field of study in Financial Accounting. Continuing their education, from 2001 to 2004, they attended AKAD Wirtschaftsprüfung in Zürich, where they earned a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) degree. Lastly, from 2009 to 2010, Hanspeter Abegg pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at the University of Rochester - William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration (CH).
