Sylvia Rodriguez

Sylvia Rodriguez has extensive work experience as an ophthalmologist. Sylvia currently holds the position of Chief of Ophthalmology at Guelph General Hospital since August 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist at Guelph Eye MD Clinic from March 2011. Sylvia also served as a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist at Hotel Dieu Hospital from July 2004 to November 2010.

Sylvia Rodriguez completed their education at various institutions. Sylvia obtained a BSc degree in General Science from the University of Waterloo from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they pursued an MD degree at McMaster University from 2001 to 2004. Sylvia then continued their education at Queen's University from 2004 to 2009, earning an FRCSC degree in Ophthalmology. In 2017 to 2019, they attended the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management for the Emerging Leaders Program in Ophthalmology, focusing on leadership.
