Madhuri Sastry is an experienced professional in the fields of law, humanitarian efforts, and gender issues. Currently serving as the Publisher at Guernica Magazine since June 2021, Madhuri has previously led the International Humanitarian Law Action Campaign for the American Red Cross, facilitating training and discussions on critical issues such as war and gender. As a Researcher for the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, Madhuri focused on Women, Peace, and Security Issues, co-authoring a publication on gendered conflict prevention.
