Frannie Sprouls has a diverse background in journalism and editorial roles. Frannie started their career as a Beat Reporter at The Daily Nebraskan, covering various beats including the Residence Hall Association and sustainability. Frannie then became the Copy Chief at The Daily Nebraskan and organized the copy desk schedules. Frannie went on to work as a Writer/Editor for the Nebraska Transportation Center and Mid-American Transportation Center, where they wrote and edited articles and research tech briefs. Frannie also interned as a Reporting Intern at The Daily Republic, covering a range of stories, and as a Copy Desk Intern at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, honing their news editing skills. Frannie worked as a Production Assistant for Air Schooner, where they gained experience in podcast production and built their own episodes. Frannie then became an Associate News Editor at The Daily Nebraskan, working closely with other news editors to assign and edit stories. Frannie's first professional copy editing role was as a Copy Editor at Human Capital Media, where they were responsible for editing content for three magazines and implementing a new copy editing process. Frannie then transitioned to working with Guerrero's Hispanic division brands as a Digital Content Manager, leading email communications, events, and social media strategy. Frannie worked their way up at Guerrero, becoming an Editor of Hispanic Executive magazine and overseeing the magazine's production and collaborating with sales to craft an editorial calendar. Frannie also held positions as a Senior Editor and Editorial Manager, taking on additional leadership responsibilities within the creative production department. Currently, Frannie is the Editorial Director at Guerrero, where they lead the creative production department and focuses on streamlining department processes, developing skill sets, and encouraging collaboration. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong editorial skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for producing high-quality content.

Frannie Sprouls completed their Bachelor of Journalism degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their degree, they obtained various certifications including a Social Media Marketing Certification from HubSpot Academy in December 2020, a Poynter ACES Certificate in Editing in 2020, The Complete Mailchimp Email Marketing Course from Udemy in 2020, and Certificates of Training in In-Depth Editing in 2019 and Digital Editing in 2016 from ACES: The Society for Editing.
