Bob Vogt, one of the two original founding partners of Guide Book Publishing, now serves as the Managing General Partner and majority owner of Guide Book Publishing. A graduate from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Bob has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, and Public Management with minor equivalents in Religion, Political Science, and Economics. He was the Sales and Marketing Executives of America’s Top Collegiate National Marketing Student during his senior year of college. In the past, Bob has served as an accountant for Liturgical Publications, and as the owner of Campus Covers Advertising. For over 10 years he served as a business consultant for Catholic Church bulletin companies before founding Guide Book Publishing. Bob is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Bob’s motto in life is that “life’s too short to be little,” which is well evidenced in his personal life. Bob has been married for over 35 years to his wife, Dee, and has two daughters who both work at Guide Book Publishing. Bob is an Eagle Scout recipient, a 50 plus year member, and an active volunteer of the Boy Scouts of America. He serves the BSA as a member of the National Religious Relations Committee, and as a unit leader to a co-ed Venturing Crew for 40 years. In recognition of his service to Scouting, he has been presented with the Regional Silver Antelope Award and the Council Silver Beaver Award. His favorite hobby is being an active high adventure photographer, taking well over 20,000 photos a year while on adventures with the Scouts and family, as well as in his local community. As a member of Salem in Ballwin United Methodist Church, he serves as an officer of its United Methodist Men’s group & Finance Committee Chair.
