Guide Dogs for the Blind
Larry Meisner's work experience includes a role as the Chief Philanthropic Officer at Guide Dogs for the Blind, where they work with individuals who are blind or visually impaired to promote their safety, mobility, independence, and inclusion. Prior to this, Larry served as the Regional Director of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for ten years. Larry also has experience as a Principal in Organizational Development Independent Consulting, providing strategic planning and implementation services for nonprofit and for-profit businesses. Larry has held leadership positions in the American Cancer Society, serving as the Vice President of Corporate Relations and the Vice President of Discovery Shops. Additionally, they contributed to the growth of Ambrosi West Coast as the Vice President, overseeing business management, development, and creative direction.
Larry Meisner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Guide Dogs for the Blind
Established in 1942, GDB is the largest Guide Dog school in North America and continues its dedication to quality student training services and extensive follow-up support for graduates. Our programs are made possible through the teamwork of staff, volunteers and generous donors. GDB receives no government funds. Services are provided to students from the United States and Canada at no cost to them. GDB is headquartered in San Rafael, California, with a second campus in Boring, Oregon. More than 12,500 teams have graduated from our program, and there are approximately 2,200 active teams in the field currently.
