Jamie Hunt

Jamie Hunt has a diverse work experience in the field of animal training. They started their career as a Wild Animal Keeper at the Bronx Zoo in 1999 and worked there until 2004. From 2004 to 2006, they worked as a Tiger Trainer at Six Flags Great Adventure & Safari. In 2006, they joined Guiding Eyes for the Blind and took on the role of an Instructor's Assistant, eventually moving up to become a Qualified Guide Dog Instructor and completing their tenure in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Dog Trainer at Wipe Your Paws until 2013. They then joined Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines in 2014, starting as a Licensed Instructor and moving on to become an Apprentice Coordinator, Assistant Director of Programs, and most recently, the Director of Programs.

Jamie Hunt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science and Marine Biology from Eckerd College, graduating in 1999.
