Kate Alexander

Kate Alexander is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in governance and public policy. Currently serving as a Director at Guidehouse since July 2018, Kate leads the Defense and Security team, leveraging a blend of public sector and commercial expertise to address critical societal challenges. Prior to Guidehouse, Kate held various roles at PwC, USAID, and DAI, focusing on program management and technical oversight for significant governance projects, primarily in Asia. Earlier in the career, Kate contributed to democracy and governance programs with the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative, and provided policy advice as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Global Politics from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a certificate in Military and Strategic Leadership from Air Command and Staff College, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Rollins College.
