Qualities I value in my colleagues
Looking through the pre-selected options, how could you not like someone with a strong work ethic, or tenacity? What about politeness or creativity? I want someone who is okay taking the chance to step out into the unknown and grab the challenge of an ill-conceived task/problem. Don't let fear of failure hold you back, but I must understand the ownership of grace and forgiveness when that occurs. Today's workforce must always adapt and continue learning - taking well-intentioned risks will ensure this happens.
My communication style
I attempt to start thinking about the people involved in the conversation and the direction it needs to go - if there is an issue, or a challenge, I'll dive in and move towards resolution. Conversations of sensitive nature require a bit more effort, because the focus is more delicate and relationships are not "problems to be solved". Almost always direct, I've greatly improved my communication style, but always have room for more growth.
My pet peeves
Fun fact
I had the privilege to perform in front of 3600 people at Carnegie Hall, along with schools from across the United States.
