Director Of Artificial Intelligence And Data at Guidewheel

Kevin Meyer, MASc. began their career in 2007 as an intern at Enersource Corporation, followed by an internship at GE Water & Process Technologies. In 2009, they were a Sessional Instructor & Research Associate at McMaster University and an Intern at STELCO - The Steel Company of Canada. From 2010 to 2019, Kevin worked at ArcelorMittal Dofasco as a Senior Software Engineer, Specialist - Artificial Intelligence, and Senior Specialist - Artificial Intelligence. During this time, they championed and led the adoption and implementation of leading-edge A.I. In 2019, they returned to McMaster University as a Sessional Professor, where they instructed engineering graduate courses in industrial automation, Internet-of-Things, and Industry 4.0, and supervised graduate student research. In 2022, Kevin began working at Guidewheel as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they are responsible for building the AI, ML, data, and computational engineering components for Guidewheel's innovative FactoryOps platform. Their roles also include strategic planning and tactical execution for projects spanning novel algorithm development, mathematical modelling, machine/deep learning, multivariate analytics, and rigorous mathematical optimization.

Kevin Meyer, MASc. has a diverse educational background. Kevin completed a Bachelor of Technology in Automation Engineering Technology from McMaster University in 2009. Following this, they went on to complete a Master of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering (Mathematical Optimization) from McMaster University in 2017. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctoral Studies in Computational Engineering (Machine/Deep Learning) at McMaster University, which they expect to complete in 2022.
