Heather Besonen

Heather Besonen has had an extensive career in human resources and leadership roles. Heather currently holds the position of Vice President, People, Space, & Technology at Guild Services since May 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Human Resources Director at Minnesota Community Care from June 2021 to May 2022.

Before joining Minnesota Community Care, Heather held various roles at the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota, including Associate Executive Director, Mission & Strategy from October 2020 to June 2021, Human Resources and Advocacy Director from May 2017 to October 2020, and Human Resources Director from March 2014 to May 2017.

Their earlier work experience includes serving as a Senior Human Resources Generalist at CommonBond Communities from 2007 to 2012 and being part of the Human Resources and Operations team at Whole Foods Market from 1995 to 2006.

Heather Besonen, SHRM-SCP attended St. Paul Academy from 1988 to 1992. Heather later obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, they hold various certifications, including the SHRM-SCP certification obtained in 2015 and the Advanced Equity and Diversity Certificate obtained from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2018. In 2022, Heather obtained the Veterans at Work Certificate from the SHRM Foundation.
