Chaka Smith

Chaka Smith is an experienced educator currently serving as a High School Social Studies Teacher at TMSA Public Charter Schools since August 2020 and concurrently working as a Middle School Social Studies Teacher with Guilford County Schools. With a teaching background at WSFCS as both a High School Social Studies Teacher and a Para Professional, Chaka has also contributed as a Part-Time Librarian at High Point University since 2013. Previous roles include Enrichment Teacher at BELL (Building Educated Leaders for Life) and Research Assistant at High Point University. Chaka's early career involved sales and project management with Carswell Business Systems and military service as a Para Trooper Engineer in the US Army. Chaka holds a Master's degree in History and a Bachelor's degree in History from High Point University.
