Lisa Sonricker

Lisa Sonricker has extensive experience in education, primarily within North Carolina. Currently serving as a CCTI: Wake-Durham Educator Preparation Program educator for the Wake County Public School System since July 2022, Lisa is also the Director of the CCTI - Central Carolina Teaching Initiative, a position held since July 2017. Previous roles include an Instructional Coach and Trainer for Guilford County Schools since July 2004, where Lisa provides support services for lateral entry STEM teachers. Additional teaching experience includes serving as a Math Teacher at both Page High School and T.W. Andrews High School, with notable achievements such as receiving the NCCTM Outstanding Secondary School Mathematics Teacher award in 2010 and being named Teacher of the Year in 2005. Lisa's earlier role as Program Director for the CCRESA Local Alternative Teacher Preparation program involved developing and promoting teacher preparation strategies. Lisa holds a Master’s degree in Secondary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, both from the University at Buffalo.
