Richard Sumner

Richard Sumner has over 28 years of experience in technology and communications, currently serving as Technology Integration Manager at Guilford County Schools since June 1995. In this role, Richard is responsible for research, project management, and technical support, overseeing both the domain administration and application development teams. Previous positions at Guilford County Schools include Supervisor of Technology Communications, Senior Communications Engineer, Communications Engineer, and Technical Support Specialist, focusing on network, telephony, infrastructure cabling, and audio-visual systems. Richard began his career at Bank of America as an Information Specialist from January 1990 to March 1995. Richard holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Western Carolina University, obtained between 1985 and 1989.
