Maryellen Roberson

Maryellen Roberson currently serves as the Head of Operations at Gulf Coast Sequestration, leading the safe delivery and start-up of CO2 sequestration in Louisiana since May 2024. Prior to this role, Maryellen held various positions at bp from 2012 to 2024, including Business Support Lead - Production and Project Operations Manager for the Cypre NUI project in Trinidad. Additional roles at bp comprised Senior Operations Engineer and several engineering support manager positions for both the Bruce and Schiehallion areas, focusing on process and process safety engineering for the Schiehallion FPSO. Earlier experience includes serving as Risk Director for North America Gas and Facilities Engineer, specifically supporting HPHT and tight gas operations in South Louisiana. Maryellen began her career as a Process Engineer at VECO and Lyondell, specializing in gas production and olefins processes. Maryellen holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
