Chief Financial Officer at Gulf Oil International Group

Peter Hutton has extensive work experience in finance and operations. Peter began their career at KPMG as an Audit Supervisor from 1992 to 1994. Then, they worked at Anglo American in various roles in Group Finance, including Finance Manager and Group Reporting Manager from 1995 to 2001. Peter then became the Senior Divisional Finance Manager for Anglo Base Metals from 2001 to 2006. Subsequently, they joined Tarmac Turkey as the Finance Director in 2006. Peter returned to Anglo American in 2008 as the Divisional Financial Controller for Ferrous Metals and Industrial Division until 2010. Peter also held the position of Finance Manager for Other Mining and Industrial at Anglo American from 2010 to 2011. After that, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Alaska Metals from 2011 to 2012. Currently, they hold key roles at Gulf Oil International Group, including Group Finance Director, Chief Financial Officer, and Senior VP - Operations, starting in 2012.

Peter Hutton completed their Matric degree at King Edward VII School in 1984. Peter then attended the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 1988 to 1991 and obtained a BComm degree with a focus on Accounting, Economics, and Tax. In 1994 to 1995, they pursued an Honours degree in Accounting at the University of South Africa. In 2002, they completed a Management Development Programme at Stellenbosch University. Lastly, in 2005, they attended the GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science) for an Advanced Management Programme.
