Payton Smith

Payton Smith is a Structural/Mechanical Design Engineer at Gulfstream Aerospace since April 2021, with prior experience as an Engineering/Technical Intern at GE Aviation in July 2020, where an in-depth business model for a high-efficiency jet engine was developed and presented, achieving a performance rating of "Exceeded Expectations." In 2019, as part of the Purdue Conformal Propellant Tank Technology Demonstrator Research Team, a NASA-sponsored experiment apparatus for analyzing propellant slosh in microgravity was designed and constructed, along with the development of safer fluid containment methods. Payton holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University, completed in 2020.
