Amit Sharma

Amit Sharma has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the IT industry. Amit is currently working as the Lead Business Intelligence & CRM at Gulftainer since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Gulftainer Company Limited from 2016 to 2020, where they held the role of Software QA Lead and was responsible for planning, verification & validation, delivering and training users on reports and dashboards. Amit also managed SAP Cloud for Customer, ensured defect-free delivery of product releases and enhancements, and conducted audits for ISO certifications.

Before joining Gulftainer, Amit worked at Polaris Consulting & Services Ltd as a Senior Project Manager in 2015 and earlier as a Project Manager and Senior Project Lead. Here, they liaised with clients, defined project approaches, and provided strategic leadership for implementing legal and regulatory requirements.

Amit's career started at Sapient in 2005, where they worked as a Senior Associate Quality Assurance and then as an Associate Quality Assurance from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they worked at Mahagun Computer Services Pvt Ltd as a Software Engineer from 1999 to 2005 and at Voltas Limited as a Trainee Software Developer from 1998 to 1999.

Amit Sharma obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Indira Gandhi National Open University from 1999 to 2001. Amit later pursued an MBA in International Business & Marketing from IMT, Ghaziabad from 2004 to 2007. In addition, Amit Sharma has obtained several certifications including Professional Scrum Master (PSM-1), Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC), ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, and Project Management Professional (PMP) in 2011.
