Corey Gale

Corey Gale has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Corey started their career at Learning Enrichment Advancement Program as a Mechatronics Instructor, where they taught introductory courses in Mechatronics to engineering students. Corey also worked as a Student Consultant at University Technology Services.

Corey then moved on to BlackBerry, where they served as a Reliability Engineering System Developer, designing and implementing software control systems for accelerated life test hardware. Corey gained experience in testing mobile devices and made process improvements.

Next, Corey worked at Firmex as a DevOps Engineer, focusing on continuous integration, scalability, and product security. Corey designed and implemented tools and procedures to certify and deploy new code, and also pitched and implemented a successful product feature.

At Top Hat, Corey worked as a DevOps Engineer, focused on DevOps processes, continuous integration, automation, infrastructure scalability, and monitoring. Corey designed and implemented tools to facilitate code deployment and assessed the impact of new features on overall product performance.

Corey then joined TripStack as a DevOps Engineer, responsible for all things DevOps and infrastructure. Their responsibilities included establishing a DevOps culture, designing and implementing application infrastructure, and automating development processes.

After that, Corey worked at Amazon as a Senior DevOps Engineer, where they established organizational patterns for infrastructure provisioning and designed a custom blue-green deployment controller. Corey represented DevOps in a special project to transition systems and processes into the Amazon ecosystem.

Currently, Corey is at GumGum, initially serving as a Senior DevOps Engineer before being promoted to DevOps Manager and then to Senior Engineering Manager, DevOps & Data Engineering. In their roles, they led and managed a team of DevOps engineers, revamped hiring processes, addressed security gaps, and optimized cost.

Corey Gale attended McMaster University from 2007 to 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng. Co-op) degree in the field of Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering.
