Michael Fermino has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Michael is currently working as the Head of Finance at Gumtree Group, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they were a Senior Manager of Financial Planning Analysis at Gumtree Group from November 2021 to December 2022.
Before joining Gumtree Group, Michael worked at eBay as a Financial Controlling Manager from April 2018 to November 2021. Michael'srole involved financial control for eBay Classifieds Group, with a focus on international markets. Additionally, they were responsible for integrating new businesses and processes across the group and providing transaction support.
From December 2017 to April 2018, Michael worked as a Consultant - Reporting & Tax at Uber. Michael also served as a Group Finance Manager for Global Festivals on a temporary assignment from February 2017 to September 2017 at Global.
Michael's prior experience includes roles such as UK Business Financial Controller (Interim) at Paramount International from September 2016 to February 2017, Accounting Manager (Interim) at Ciena from October 2015 to August 2016, and Senior Manager at Daley & Co Chartered Accountants from January 2013 to August 2015. Michael started their career at Daley & Co Chartered Accountants as a Graduate Accountant/Manager from August 2009 to December 2012 and as an Undergraduate (while studying part-time) from February 2005 to July 2009.
Michael Fermino attended the University of Wollongong from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Accounting/Commercial Law. Michael later obtained the Chartered Accountant certification from the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2010-2011.
