Aliya Sanders

Aliya Sanders is a Partner at Gunderson Dettmer, having progressed from Associate since July 2017. Previously, Aliya held the position of Associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP from April 2015 to June 2017 and at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates from September 2013 to April 2015, where Aliya was also a Summer Associate in 2012. Early career experience includes an internship at the Tshwaranang Legal Advocacy Centre and at Human Rights Watch, along with a role as a Research Assistant at ICAP at Columbia University and as a Curriculum Development Program Assistant at mothers2mothers. Aliya holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Columbia Law School, a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Arts (AB) from Princeton University in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, African Studies, and Portuguese Language and Culture.
