Jonathan P. Spencer

Jonathan Spencer is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and securities. Currently serving as a Partner at Gunderson Dettmer since January 2021, Jonathan previously held the position of Associate at Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP from September 2014 to January 2021. Prior to that, Jonathan was an Associate at DLA Piper from January 2012 to September 2014 and at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates from November 2009 to December 2011, where the focus was on mergers and acquisitions and project finance. Jonathan began legal training as a Legal Extern at the United States District Court for the Southern District of California in June 2007 and gained additional experience as an Associate at KPMG US from October 2005 to September 2006. Jonathan holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Comparative Literature from Brigham Young University.
