Richard Chang

Richard Chang is a Partner at Gunderson Dettmer since November 2019, following a tenure as Counsel. Prior to this, Richard held the position of Associate at Goodwin from September 2017 to November 2019, specializing in capital markets transactions, venture capital, private equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, and SEC compliance within the Life Sciences Group. Richard’s experience includes serving as an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates, and Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where work focused on capital markets and securities transactions, including US and HK IPOs. Richard also contributed as a Foreign Legal Consultant at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and held various roles in patent review and legal research early in his career. Richard holds an SJD from Duke University School of Law and a Graduate Certificate in Health Policy, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from National Taiwan University.
