John Cattles

John Cattles is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations and sustainability. Currently serving as the Assistant County Manager of Operations and Sustainability and the Sustainable Operations Director at Gunnison County since February 2013, John is responsible for achieving environmental sustainability goals, including greenhouse gas reduction initiatives. John demonstrates strong leadership by engaging stakeholders and managing complex projects. Previously, as the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor at Gunnison County, John managed facility needs and ensured sustainable solutions through careful capital project planning. Prior to joining Gunnison County, John owned and operated C&C Building and Design from January 2002 to February 2013, where responsibilities included home design, project management, and subcontractor coordination. Educational achievements include a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design/Architecture from Western Colorado University.
