Jorge Garcia Tarodo

Jorge Garcia Tarodo is an accomplished risk management professional with extensive experience in the energy trading sector, currently serving as Regional Head of Risk Office EMEA and Deputy Global Head of Risk Office at Gunvor Group Ltd since December 2019. Jorge has successfully led the reorganization of the Risk Department, established new training programs for risk officers, and contributed significantly to the development of in-house trading tools. Previous roles at Gunvor include Senior Risk Officer and Regional Risk Manager for North America, where Jorge achieved the establishment of risk reporting systems and compliance structures. Earlier career positions at Cargill and LITASCO SA involved trade accounting and financial reconciliation. Jorge holds a BA First Class from Universidad de Oviedo and a BA Hons in International Business from the University of Central Lancashire.
