Paul Haythornthwaite

Paul Haythornthwaite has a diverse work experience in the energy trading industry. Paul is currently working at Gunvor Group Ltd as the EMEA, Head of Risk for Energy. Prior to this, they worked at PETRONAS Energy Trading Limited as the Head of Risk, responsible for various risk management aspects of the entity. Paul also worked at PETROINEOS TRADING LIMITED as the Product Control Team lead, at Gazprom Marketing & Trading as the Market Risk Control Manager, and at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH as the Head of Gas, Proprietary Trading Risk Control and Gas Market Risk Controller. Paul began their career at Centrica Energy as a Portfolio Risk Analyst and later as a Market Risk Analyst. Paul'sroles involved risk management, reporting, and providing analysis and advice to senior management and trading desks.

Paul Haythornthwaite obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in International Securities & Investment Banking from the University of Reading between the years 2000 and 2003. Paul also has additional certifications in Executive Data Science from the Johns Hopkins University School of Education, which they obtained in February 2017, and in Wind Energy from the DTU - Technical University of Denmark, which they obtained in January 2017.
