Thierry Jacot

Thierry Jacot has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Thierry began their career as a Commodity Trader at G&D sa in 1985, where they remained until 2003. In 2003, they briefly worked as a Director at SFC. From 2005 to 2008, they served as the Head of Trading Desk & CFO at Softs Trading Co. In 2008, they joined Vegoil Trading Co as the CFO & Risk Manager. Thierry then moved to the University of Geneva in 2010, where they worked as an Occasional Lecturer until 2017. Most recently, they have held various roles at Gunvor Group Ltd, including Risk Manager from 2009 to 2018, Head of Risk Europe, Middle East & Africa from 2018 to 2019, and currently serves as the Chief Risk Officer.

Thierry Jacot's education history begins in 1976 when they attended College Rousseau and obtained their Maturité Fédérale in Latin. Following this, from 1980 to 1981, they attended the University of Miami studying in the field of Business School. From 1981 to 1985, Thierry Jacot studied Economics at the University of Geneva, earning their Master's Degree. In 2005, they attended FAME - HEC Lausanne - School of Business, where they received a Certificate in Financial Asset Management & Engineering. Finally, from 2007 to 2010, Thierry Jacot pursued a Charter Holder in Alternative Investment at CAIA (Alternative Investment Analyst).
