Juan Antonio Orozco Guzmán

Juan Antonio Orozco Guzmán has held various roles in the fields of optimization, data science, and financial analysis. Juan Antonio began their career in 2010 as a Junior Financial Analyst at Brown-Forman, where they managed sales data representing $150M MXN per month. In 2011, they joined Hewlett-Packard as a Senior Analytics Consultant and Research Assistant. In this role, they managed sales data representing $54B USD worldwide, as well as organized the Analytics Day 2013. In 2016, they began working at Tecnológico de Monterrey as a Lecturer, teaching undergraduates from the Industrial Engineering programme. Juan Antonio also worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Wizeline, where they explored and extracted insights from data by developing Machine Learning models. Currently, they work as an Optimization Engineer at Gurobi Optimization, providing technical advisory, support and training related to mathematical optimization. Juan Antonio has also helped redesign the roster planning process.

Juan Antonio Orozco Guzmán completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Statistics and Operational Research from The University of Edinburgh between 2014 and 2015. Juan Antonio also holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, which they obtained between 2006 and 2010. In addition, they have a certification in Deep Learning, which they obtained in November 2018.
