Karin Rabe Vance

Karin Rabe Vance is an experienced professional in the field of properties management and design, currently serving as the Head of Props at Guthrie Theater since July 2022. Vance also owns and operates SD Arts Company, creating unique handcrafted items sold on Etsy and at local markets. Prior roles include Associate Properties Master at Geffen Playhouse, where Vance collaborated on scenic and prop designs for multiple productions, and Properties Director at Alley Theatre, overseeing a team for numerous projects, including world premieres. Vance began a robust career with positions at Studio Arena Theatre, The Santa Fe Opera, and Merrimack Repertory Theatre, accumulating extensive skills in prop sourcing, design, and team management. Vance holds a BFA in Theatre Design Technology from Florida State University and has pursued select business coursework at Houston Community College.
