Wendy Sealey has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations. Wendy is currently serving as the Vice President of Development at the Guttmacher Institute since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the New York Civil Liberties Union, holding multiple roles including Chief Development Officer (CDO), Director of Philanthropy, and Director of Leadership Gifts from 2014 to 2021. Before that, they were the Director of Campaign and Major Gifts at the East Harlem Tutorial Program from 2012 to 2014. Wendy also worked as the Director of Major Gifts at Bank Street College from 2008 to 2012 and as the Director of Development at the Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, they served as the Director of Professional Advancement Opportunities at Prep for Prep from 2004 to 2006 and as the Executive Director of Harlem Textile Works from 2002 to 2004. Wendy's earlier experience includes working as the Director of Member Services at the Social Enterprise Alliance from 1999 to 2002 and as an Assistant Teacher at The Brearley School from 1992 to 1994.
Wendy Sealey obtained their Bachelor's degree in International Relations and French Civilization from Brown University in 1992. Wendy then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in French Language and Literature at Stanford University, graduating in 1999. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they attended Phillips Academy from 1984 to 1988.
