Matei Canavra

Matei Canavra is an experienced professional with a diverse background in product management, strategy, and consulting. Matei currently serves as a Product Manager, VP at Guy Carpenter, where they are responsible for managing and developing products. Prior to that, Matei worked as a Product Manager at POAP - Bookmarks for your life, where they played a key role in creating a unique badge system using Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). Matei also served as a Product Strategy Lead at Athens Research, where they helped startups and product teams streamline their processes and workflows. Matei has strong entrepreneurial experience as well, having co-founded VISIV, a design, development, and consulting agency that assists small business owners in launching and transforming their businesses. Additionally, they worked as a Product Lead at GoJourni, a video and virtual reality production and software development company. Matei began their career as a NASA Governor's School Intern at NASA Langley Research Center.

Matei Canavra attended Potomac Falls High School from 2009 to 2013. After high school, they pursued a field of study in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical/Space Engineering at Virginia Tech from 2013 to 2015.
