Souki Gavliak

Souki (Chahid) Gavliak has a diverse and extensive work experience in the insurance and risk management industry. In 2010, they started their career as a Stagiaire Actuaire at RMA WATANYA, where they gained experience in actuarial work. They then moved on to Royal Air Maroc as a Stagiaire Ingénieur financier, focusing on financial hedge strategies.

In 2011, Gavliak joined easyJet as a Yield Analyst Junior, analyzing market trends, prices, competition, and conducting pricing analysis. They also worked at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd as a Trainee Actuary for the Middle East and Africa, focusing on sustainability, reserves estimations, and providing insights and communication on results.

From 2014 to 2015, Gavliak worked at Hastings Direct as an Actuarial Analyst. They were responsible for setting up the reserving process for the Motor business, including data preparation, quality assurance, claims trend analysis, reserves analysis, and launching new products. They also worked on reinsurance portfolio assessment and modeling.

In 2015, Gavliak joined Willis Re as a Reinsurance Pricing Actuary, specializing in reinsurance pricing strategies.

From 2018 to 2021, Gavliak worked at PwC UK as an Actuarial Manager in various roles, including Cyber Risk Quantification and Modeling, Catastrophe Risk and Modeling, and Pricing and Underwriting.

Gavliak then joined CyberCube in 2021 as a Principal Client Product Advisor, providing actuarial support for clients. They also held the role of Principal Actuary - Modeling and Analytics, focusing on modeling and analytics in the field of cyber risk.

In 2022, Gavliak joined CFC as a Cyber Modeling Manager, responsible for managing cyber modeling projects.

Currently, Gavliak holds the position of Head of Cyber Analytics - UK & International at Guy Carpenter, a role they started in 2023.

Souki Gavliak completed a Bachelor's degree in Sciences Mathématiques A from Lycée Chaouki in 2005. From 2005 to 2008, they attended Jamiât Hassan II de Casablanca, where they obtained a Licence in Sciences Mathématiques et Applications. Furthering their education, Souki pursued a master's degree in Mathématiques Financières from Jamiât Mohammed Al-Khâmiss Rabat between 2008 and 2010, during which they were awarded a master spéialisé (prix d'excellence).
