Shakisa Harvey

Shakisa Harvey is a legal professional with extensive experience in both legal and compliance roles as well as a passion for writing. Currently serving as Senior Manager for Legal Services at Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Limited since September 2024, Shakisa previously held the position of Legal and Compliance Officer (Deputy) at Citizens Bank Guyana Inc. from December 2020 to September 2024. Shakisa also practiced as an Associate Attorney-at-law at McKay & Moore Law Chambers and interned under various legal professionals. In addition to legal expertise, Shakisa founded Elesay Speech Writers in July 2021, where management of a qualified team focuses on speechwriting and related services. Educational qualifications include a Legal Education Certificate from Hugh Wooding Law School and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Guyana. Early career experience includes journalism, primarily courtroom reporting for Stabroek News.
