Ian Sugg currently serves as the Director of Commercial Strategy & Operations at Guzman Energy since November 2025, following a role as a Consultant at Bain & Company from October 2023 to November 2025. Ian completed an MBA at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth from August 2021 to June 2023, during which there was an MBA Summer Internship at Danaher Corporation in 2022. Prior military service with the US Navy spanned from May 2014 to August 2021, where Ian held various leadership positions including Chief of Training for US Northern Command Special Activities and was recognized as the Company Grade Officer of the Year in 2019. Additional responsibilities included serving as a Nuclear Submarine Officer on USS Columbia, overseeing operations and a crew of 150, and completing advanced training at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, earned between 2010 and 2014.
