Xihao Hu has a diverse work experience, starting as an Undergraduate Researcher at Wuhan University in 2007. During this time, they designed a web server named BioMHC. Xihao then worked as a Visiting Student at Fudan University, where they focused on improving the prediction of MHC-peptide binding using a meta approach. At City University of Hong Kong, Xihao served as a Research Assistant, utilizing Multiple Kernel Learning to enhance ensemble performance. Xihao further expanded their research capabilities as a Visiting Student at Cornell University, where they utilized protein docking and machine learning to identify binding interfaces. Xihao continued their academic journey as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, reproducing the Specificity Determining Residues (SDR) method and supporting educational efforts. Xihao contributed to the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Science as a Research Associate, establishing a computational environment. Xihao then joined Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as a Research Fellow, concluding in 2019. Currently, Xihao holds the positions of Chief Information Officer and Chief Scientist at GV20 Therapeutics.

Xihao Hu completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Wuhan University from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, completing their studies from 2011 to 2015.
