Jim Parejko has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Beginning their career as a Cadet at the US Coast Guard Academy, they later worked for Lawson Products as a Field Engineer. Jim then joined Emerson Industrial Automation as a Chief Engineer, overseeing Product Engineering, Design, Testing, and Computer Leverage Teams. After that, they served as a Program Manager at Navistar, leading a large matrix program team in the development of new engines. Subsequently, they joined Bison Gear & Engineering as Vice President of Continuous Improvement & Engineering, where they were responsible for various departments including Design Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and IT. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Engineering at G&W Electric Co. No specific end dates are provided for their most recent roles.
Jim Parejko completed their education at several different institutions. In 1990, they began studying at Northern Illinois University, where they pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). Jim continued their education at the University of Chicago in 2012, where they earned a Certificate in Business Administration and Management (CMI). Prior to their university studies, Jim Parejko attended the US Coast Guard Academy from 1988 to 1990, studying Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
In addition to their formal education, Jim Parejko has obtained several certifications. Jim became a Heroic Certified Coach Level 1 in 2020, and later achieved Level 2 in 2022 and Level 3 in 2023, all from the Heroic Public Benefit Corporation. Jim also holds certifications as a Baldrige Examiner from the Baldrige Foundation and as a Lean Sensei from the AME. Furthermore, they are a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) certified by the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Additionally, Jim Parejko has the Certification Lead Assessor, however, no institution is provided for this certification.
