John Gounaris

John Gounaris has extensive work experience in the electrical industry. John started their career as an Application Engineer at G&W Electric Co. in 2001 and held this role until 2007. In this position, they gained technical expertise in medium voltage distribution switchgear.

Afterwards, John worked as a Sales Engineer at Banes Associates from April 2007 to December 2008, and then at T&D Products, Inc. from April 2009 to April 2010.

Returning to G&W Electric Co. in 2010, John assumed the position of Product Manager for Switchgear, where they were responsible for both the technical and commercial performance of the product.

From September 2013 to January 2016, John served as the Director of the Customer Support Group at G&W Electric Co., managing a team of Application Engineers, Project Managers, and Customer Service Representatives.

In January 2016, they transitioned to the role of Product Manager for Strategic Accounts, overseeing the product management of overhead and underground products. John focused on increasing product line revenues and margin dollars by actively engaging with strategic accounts.

In January 2017, John was promoted to Director of Product Management at G&W Electric Co. and subsequently became the Vice President of the company in January 2018.

John Gounaris earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 1993 to 1997.
