Katherine Thompson

Katherine Thompson has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Katherine began their career in 2010 as a Research and Development Intern at ABB, where they gained hands-on experience in testing and working on prototypes for drives and solar inverters. In 2011, they joined G&W Electric Co., starting as an Application Engineer for High Voltage Cable Accessories and later becoming a Product Specialist for Cable Accessories. Katherine then progressed to the role of Associate Product Manager before being promoted to their current position as Product Manager. During their time at G&W Electric Co., Katherine demonstrated their expertise in managing products and applying their technical knowledge to cable accessories. Prior to their roles at G&W Electric Co., Katherine gained valuable experience at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where they worked as a Program Assistant for the Applied Technology Center. In this role, they revised Institutional Review Board documents and assisted with the coordination of the Research Experience Undergraduate program. Katherine also served as a Program Assistant, creating curriculum and designing experiments for the Women in Technology program and providing office support as an Office Assistant. Additionally, Katherine worked as a Summer Program Assistant, assisting with engineering camps and advising incoming freshmen.
