Philipp Wieder

Philipp Wieder is a Professor of Data Science Infrastructures at The University of Göttingen since July 2019 and has served as Deputy Head and Leader of the eScience Group at GWDG - Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH Göttingen since October 2011. Prior experience includes a Researcher role at TU Dortmund University from September 2007 to September 2011, focusing on Distributed Systems, Scheduling and Resource Management, and e-Business Architectures. In addition, Philipp Wieder was a Researcher at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre from 2000 to 2007, concentrating on Service-oriented Architectures, Scheduling, and Resource Management. Funding sources for research include BMBF and various EU frameworks. Philipp Wieder holds a Dr.-Ing. in Computer Science from TU Dortmund University and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University.
