Karen Ngowe

Karen Ngowe is a Senior Health Education Specialist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with extensive experience in health education, instructional design, and workforce development since January 2009. Ngowe has provided oversight and technical assistance for capacity-building initiatives, served as an Acting Team Lead for the Division of HIV Prevention, and led training efforts during the COVID-19 Response, enhancing the capabilities of public health liaisons. Ngowe has a strong background in developing e-learning solutions from previous roles at Northrop Grumman, the Michigan Department of Community Health, and other institutions. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology from Michigan State University, alongside additional credentials in Applied Linguistics/TESOL and Vocal Performance. Ngowe also contributes as a Poll Worker for local elections in Gwinnett County.
