Wendy Waters has extensive work experience in research and analysis services in the real estate industry. Wendy started their career at the University of BC as a Sessional Instructor from May 1998 to April 2000. Wendy then worked at Indexonly.com as a Manager of Content Editing from April 2000 to July 2001. In 2002, they joined Avison Young as a Research Director until August 2006. Wendy then moved to GWL Realty Advisors where they held several roles, including Manager of Analysis & Research Services from August 2006 to February 2011, Director & Senior Director of Portfolio Analysis & Research Services from January 2011 to February 2019, and currently serving as the Vice President of Research Services & Strategy since February 2019. In their current role, Wendy leads a team responsible for providing unique analysis and proprietary research to support the real estate investment goals of GWL Realty Advisors and its clients. Wendy'sfocus is on office, multi-residential, industrial, and retail assets.
Wendy Waters has a strong background in history, particularly within the fields of Comparative World History, Latin American History, and Economic History. Wendy obtained their Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in History from The University of British Columbia from 1988 to 1992. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in History at Texas Christian University, completing it from 1993 to 1994. Wendy further advanced their education by obtaining a Ph.D. in Comparative World History, Latin American History, and Economic History from the University of Arizona, where they attended from 1995 to 1999.
