Zain Syed

Zain Syed, CPA has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Zain is currently working at GWL Realty Advisors as a Manager, Portfolio Management, a role they started in August 2021. Prior to this, they served as an Analyst, Portfolio Management at the same company from March 2020 to July 2021.

Before joining GWL Realty Advisors, Zain had experience in the non-profit sector. Zain worked as an Administrator at McGill Muslim Alumni Society (MMAS) from July 2019 onwards, serving on the Board of Administrators.

Zain also has a strong background in auditing. Zain worked at Deloitte Canada for several years, starting as an Audit Analyst from September 2016 to August 2018, and then progressing to Senior Audit Associate from August 2018 to March 2020. Additionally, Zain had a brief stint as an Intern - Staff Accountant at Deloitte Canada from June 2015 to August 2015.

Before embarking on their professional career, Zain gained experience as a Sales Consultant at McGill University from May 2013 to May 2016.

Zain Syed, CPA, completed their Advanced Levels at St. Mary's Catholic High School in Dubai, U.A.E from 2009 to 2011. Zain then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Honours Economics and Accounting at McGill University from 2013 to 2016. Most recently, they joined the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in 2020.
