Elif M. Gokcigdem, PhD, is an accomplished academic and leader in the field of art and design, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University, focusing on Interaction Design, Systems Thinking, and Human-Centric Design. In addition, Elif holds the position of President & CEO at the Organization of Networks for Empathy, which launched the Empathy-Building Through Museums Initiative. Previously, Elif worked for Aramco Services Company for over 26 years, contributing to the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture project and influencing various aspects of cultural programming. Early career experiences include roles at the National Museum of Asian Art at the Smithsonian Institution and The World Bank.
