Marva Gumbs Jennings

Marva Gumbs Jennings has extensive experience at The George Washington University, where since 1990, Marva has held the position of Managing Director for Interdisciplinary and Strategic Initiatives, focusing on enhancing career opportunities through interdisciplinary efforts in public service, sustainability, and other key areas. Prior roles include Executive Director, providing leadership for the career center and overseeing staff across multiple departments, and Director of Career Services, supporting career development for students and alumni. Earlier experience includes her role as Assistant Director at the Career and Cooperative Education Center from 1984 to 1989, where Marva managed operations and facilitated career workshops. Marva Gumbs Jennings holds a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Rehabilitation Counseling from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rutgers University.
